What I Enjoyed This Week: Not the Rain!

It rained all week long!  Thankfully, it did not rain all day every day; the sun did come out a few times, but we still received a lot of rain while being stuck in the house.

Other than the rain, it was a fairly normal week with CC, Mary's ballet class, etc.  Here are a few more things I enjoyed this week:
  • Labor Day.  John was home all day!  He even cooked supper for us!!
  • no soccer practice.  ;)  No running girls to practice and picking them back up.
  • The Story Peddler by Lindsay Franklin.  After hearing about this book, I decided I wanted to support the author since she is a homeschooling mother.  And the book sounded interesting.  I was blown away when I started it, however, because it's so good!  I have read about a third of the book so far, and I can't wait to finish it.  Tanwen, the story peddler, can make stories come alive with streams of light from her fingers.  For some reason, her power -- and others' -- is a threat to the king, so she has to flee for her life.
  • the sun -- when it came out.  :)
We have two soccer games tomorrow, in the rain probably.  Ugh!  Those are our only plans for the weekend along with getting the girls' pictures taken for soccer.

What did you enjoy this week?  What do you have planned for the weekend?
