John is going to fry a turkey again this year. Yum! I can't wait!! And it's nice that I don't have to worry about the turkey, and it's not filling up my oven while I'm trying to prepare side dishes.
While I was looking for a recipe that I found in Taste of Home a while ago (and lost), I found this one for Grasshopper Pie. I love the combination of chocolate and mint, so I think I'll make this pie...even if I'm the only one to eat it. (Wouldn't that be nice?!!) I did find the recipe for honey muffins that I was looking for. If it's not the exact same recipe I was looking for, well, it's close enough...I hope. I plan also to make a sweet potato casserole and a green bean casserole (because you have to have something green). Typing out the menu makes me think that I am not making enough food. Maybe I'll add something or another.
I'm still not sure who will be here for Thanksgiving dinner, and I've decided not to worry about it. I know that my parents will be, and my mom will probably bring another couple of dishes.
The more I think about it, the more I think we need another pie. How about a chocolate pecan pie?
What all are you making for your Thanksgiving feast?
