Book Review: Out Live Your Life by Max Lucado

In Outlive You Life: You Were Made to Make a Difference Max Lucado tells us that God wants us to help others. As Christians, of course, we already know this. Lucado uses many stories and illustrations to make his point that one person can make a difference...in at least one other person's life. He challenges his readers at the end of the book: "None of us can help everyone. But all of us can help some one. And when we help them, we serve Jesus."

The message in this book is a good one and one I needed to hear. However, Lucado's writing style irks me. Incomplete sentences drive me nuts. And statements like "Jesus's facebook page" send chills down my back like someone is running their fingernails across a chalkboard (148). Aargh! If these kinds of things don't bother you, if you can look past them, you should read this book. I do recommend it...with these caveats because there is much we can (and should) be doing for others.

While I did receive a copy of this book from BookSneeze, my opinions are my own.
