- The government, our government, has bought trucks equipped with x-ray scanners that are able to look inside cars and houses. While I can see the purpose of these trucks in specific uses (like checking incoming cargo at ports and in Iraq/Afghanistan), I'm nervous about their use because no one will say why they have been purchased.
- Courts have repeatedly ruled that police do not need warrants in order to attach a GPS to your car so they can track your every move. Read more here.
- Courts have also ruled that police can use your cell phone to track your movements, that is when you're not in your car. Again, that is without a search warrant.
- Our government also would like to make it easier for them to read your email and other things you post in places like facebook. Isn't that nice?
These things terrify me. What happened to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?
Did you know about these things? Do you care?

I did not know about all of those things!! Its scary what are children are growing up in and around!
I know! I find it terrifying.
Well being that my husband is a Marine, AND was in law enforcement I see both sides of this topic. I can understand the need, at times, for the right to be able to get this information at times without warrants. However being that my husband fights for our right to have our liberties that are given to us it is irritating that judges think they can remove those rights without so much as a second thought.
Good blog, very thought provoking. I sure hope that more people understand and are willing to speak up for our rights.
Crystal, I can see both sides, too, but it scares me how easily we American are letting our rights, our God-given rights, be taken away from us.
I hadn't heard of those things either, and they are definitely disturbing. We definitely need to be fighting for our God-given rights!
