Do you remember this blanket? I haven't posted about it in a while, but I have finally finished it. Finally!
I started it with some leftover yarn which I thought was a great idea. I could get rid of some of my "stash" while making something useful. My plan worked wonderfully...until I ran out of yarn. *Sigh* Then I had to buy more green and blue to finish this blanket, but no store in town had the colors I needed. I found them online, but I didn't want to pay full price, and I really didn't want to pay shipping. Ugh! What else could I do? I waited until the yarn went on sale, and I bit the bullet, so to speak, and paid shipping. Aargh! So much for a free blanket!
But I think it turned out nicely. I plan to donate it to our church's blanket ministry, and I'm sure it will make a nice blanket for a little boy. As I have told Sarah Beth, there are little boys out there who don't have blankets and whose mommies don't know how to crochet.

Very nice! Those are great colors for a boy! I think every child deserves something handmade. :) Thanks for stopping by my blog and joining in on Finished Object Friday!
