Well, I finished the red star last week, and I was able to start on the green one over the weekend. I cannot wait to finish this project so I can show you the finished product. (And so I can see it for myself!)
On Friday, John needed some things from the Bass Pro Shop. Since we don't have one in our town, we took a day trip to a small city where there is one. I decided that if we were going to ride all of that way to shop for him, we could do a little shopping for me, too. We don't have a nice yarn shop in our town, either, so I looked for one there. They had one, so we visited it. I found some lovely yarn that I cannot wait to make into a blanket for "Baby Sister." I tried to find a picture of it online, but the only one I could find did not do it justice. Unfortunately, before I can start using this yarn, I need to finish my Basketweave blanket. And I haven't crocheted a single stitch on it since I took that picture. If only there were more hours in the day.
