Update on Family Sickness

Sarah Beth seems completely recovered. She was back to her normal, playful self yesterday which was nice to see. Sometimes, however, it was hard to deal with since I still felt so poorly. Poor Daniel was fussy all day with a runny nose and a cough. It wouldn't surprise me if his throat hurts or something like that. John was able to go back to work yesterday, and that was a good thing.

I started my antibiotics Monday evening, and I felt better yesterday, but I was still only running between 50 and 75%. At least, I was able to get some things done, things that I could sit while I did them, like folding clothes. Today I feel a little bit better, but the big news is that I can breathe through my nose and I spent all of last night in our bed. Breathing through my nose has been so hard since I got this awful cold last week that I haven't been able to sleep. Not only have I been wide awake at 2:30 a.m., but I have also been afraid that my breathing was bothering John. So I have gotten out of bed every day since last Wednesday between 2:30 and 5:00 in the morning. Last night was nice because I could breathe all night long; I still didn't sleep well, but I didn't have to get up either. My whole face still hurts because my sinuses are all full; it hurts just to touch my forehead. And when I bend over, it feels like someone is sticking a knife in my face. I'm learning to pick things up correctly, by bending my knees!

I'm sorry that I don't have anything more uplifting to write about, but I cannot remember when I have felt this badly for such a long period of time. Have you ever felt this badly? How are you feeling now?

I'm sorry you're still not feeling well. Is Daniel on antibiotics too? I think the last time I felt that awful was when I was at the end of my pregnancy with Joshua. I hate taking antibiotics when I'm pregnant, but I didn't see any other options and I had the Z-pak too. It did the trick! Hope you start feeling 100% today!
