Halloween Pictures

I know that some of my readers don't "do" Halloween, and at the risk of offending you, I thought I would show you some pictures of our first Halloween. Yes, this is the first Halloween that we dressed up the children and took them trick or treating. John decided Friday night that we should do this, so we went shopping early Saturday morning for costumes. The selection wasn't very good, as you might imagine, but at least the costumes were on sale.

Poor Daniel got to be a piece of candy corn. We hope this doesn't scar him for life.

Sarah Beth loved this dress. She is not exactly sure what a princess is, but it was enough that the dress was pink and came with a headband.

John didn't keep them out long, but they sure did enjoy the couple of pieces of candy we let them have when they got home. Our poor children don't get candy very often.

How was your Halloween?

I LOVE candy corn! And Daniel is definitely cute enough to eat! lol

I think being a Princess must be the #1 costume among girls. It never grows old. I've dressed up as one myself, complete with headband and sparkles:)

It was so much fun taking the kids out trick-or-treating when they were little. Just the wonder of it. Mine don't get much candy either, so it really is a treat to them. I have to admit that I've been know to recycle some of their candy after a few days, but that's just between you and me;)

We also dress our boys up....no scary, ghosty type things though......they were sick this year on Halloween......so we went trick or treating last night....funny that is! They were cowboys.

I love Daniel's costume and sweet princess, oh she is so adorable!

Blessings!!!!

Hey Nikki, I had to comment about your Kim Komando reference a few posts back. I heard of her for the first time while I was on my trip. My dad was referencing something she wrote, and he was rather surprised I had never heard of her...especially since my husband is the one who got him hooked, lol. Guess I'll have to check her out:)

And wow, only 3 more months left until the little sister arrives! Has it gone by as fast for you as it has for me? ;)

If I'm out driving on Saturday, I like to listen to Kim Komando. It surprises John since I'm not a "techie," but I enjoy her personality.

It has gone by quickly...now that the morning sickness is finally gone! That felt like it went on foreeeeever.

lol - Halloween clearly isn't big in our Australian small town. We didn't get a single trick or treat-er! (We used to get a few, when we lived in the city).

Your kids do look gorgeous. But what is candy corn? Popcorn with candy on it, perhaps?

Sasha, I'm not exactly sure how to describe candy corn, but it has nothing to do with corn except maybe that's it's made with corn syrup. It is a small triangle with white on top, orange in the middle, and yellow on the bottom. Typically, it is a fall candy because of the colors (for us in the Northern hemisphere).
