In case you don't know, here is how it works. Basically, you get books for free in the mail. When you sign up and list ten books, you get one credit. You can use that credit to request any book that has been posted in the site, and it will come to you (free!). You get more credits when people request your books and receive them in the mail. Here is where the money comes in; you have to pay the shipping when people want your books. But it is counteracted by the fact that you don't pay anything for books that come to you.
This is a great site. I had been buying used books from Amazon.com, but they are at least $4. Most of the books I have shipped via PBS have been for a little more than $2 which is almost a 50% savings. Granted, the book you receive may not be in the best condition, but if you don't want to keep it, just re-list it! Since joining this site, I have even been inspired to go through all of my books and weed out more of the ones I really and truly will never read again.
My only problem with PBS is the fact that I now have more books to read than time to read them in!
I do have one selfish request: if you decide to join, please put my email address (jds_nps(at)hotmail(dot)com) down as your referrer. I think I will get another credit if you do!

I have heard about this and now will definitely have to give it a try. Books can be so expensive.
I have tagged you at my blog, to share your dark secrets. Or at least what you did yesterday!
Thanks for the review! sounds like a great way to save! Blessings!
I'll have to check this out. Does it matter what condition the books are in? Personally I don't care myself if I'm just going to pass them along. But then I've been known to fall asleep while reading, NOT the best on books, lol.
It really doesn't matter what condition the books are in, as long as they're not written in and they still have the front cover. They certainly do not have to look "new" since they are paperbacks and have been read at least once.
