Does this blanket look familiar? It should since I just finished one exactly like it, except that the other one is pink. Ah, twins! Can you see how that last row at the top isn't finished? Why not? As I got to the end of the row, guess what I found -- a knot in the yarn. That is so aggravating. Now I have to take the whole row out, cut out the knot, and recrochet the row because it is always better to change yarn at the end of a row. I really hate it when yarn companies do this!!
I have not gotten much done on this doily, but I thought I would post a picture anyway. The edges are curling up, so I think I will need to block it when I am done. (I don't usually block things; actually, I have never blocked anything.)
This pile of laundry is my other work in progress. Since our washer died last week, I have been able to do three loads at my parents' house. Today is catch up day because our new washer came this morning. I really like it, and I can fit almost twice as many clothes in one load, but it sure does take a lot longer than my old washer. Thankfully, my ten year old dryer can dry the same amount of clothes the washer can wash. The pile doesn't look as big in the picture for some reason.

Ah, yes, the never ending mountain of washing. I could blog this as a WIP every Wednesday! Love the purple blanket - very sweet. You crochet so fast!
Thanks, Sasha. This pattern works up very quickly. I don't usually have such a mountain of laundry, but our washer broke last week, and it has been accumulating.
With small children in the house, that laundry piles up quickly, doesn't it? I know that with five kids ages 11-2, I can't afford to go more than two days without washing clothes, or catching up takes too long. I dread the day when my washer breaks down, but it works so hard, that day is coming.
I think the blanket is even prettier in purple, and I sympathize with you about the knot in the yarn. I found one about halfway through the leg of Mr. H.'s sock, but I just knit it in discreetly instead of frogging and going back, lol.
My washer is not broken, but I am right there with you on the dirty laundry! Thank goodness for a husband who doesn't mind putting a load in himself!
Angela, I started to show John how to use our new washer last night (because it is a little different), and I stopped. I cannot remember the last time he put a load of clothes in the wash. Of course, he works all day, and I am home all day, so it only makes sense that I do all the laundry. Also, I have to admit that I tend to criticize the way he does it. He just doesn't do it right!
In other words, I don't do laundry the way you want me to; it might not be wrong just different.
John has a good point there Nikki, lol. I have to admit there are a few things my hubby would help with, that I prefer to do myself. Like you said, he works all day, so the least you can do is the laundry (especially if you're picky about it like me;).
