WIP Wednesday

I am still working on this baby blanket from last week. Here is a close-up of the pattern. The more I work on this blanket, the more I like the pattern. That is a great thing! I doubt I will get it done before this weekend when I work with the recipient, but I picked up an extra day next weekend, and hopefully, I will get it done before then. If not, well, we work at Wal-Mart, and who really needs an excuse to go there?

I am also working on this placemat. Here is what it will look like finished. This one is the third I have made; I was hoping to get eight done before Christmas, but I don't think that will happen. Maybe next year.
For other works in progress, head on over to the Place of H. There is usually some really neat knitted stuff that makes me wish I liked to knit.

Very nice. The placemats are so pretty. Is 8 the magic number because it's a gift?

Back to normal, huh? The world does go on thanks goodness.

I'm with you -- the more you finish of that blanket the prettier it gets! Maybe I should take up crochet. I know how to make a chain :)

I agree about the lovely blanket. The pattern really is beautiful, and the yarn complements it very well.

Mykidsmom, I would like to make eight because it's a nice round number. I hope to have my parents, John's mom and her husband over for Christmas brunch. So I would need seven for us, not including Daniel. If I only get three done, that's one for each of us, again, not including Daniel. He doesn't need one since he will still be sitting in his highchair.

Angela, you ought to learn to crochet. It's really not that hard. Maybe Dayna could teach you; then maybe she'll pick it back up, too.

That is pretty!! I also haven't had a chance to comment but I am so thrilled about Sarah Beth and her using the potty on her own!! That is sooo cool! What a great approach!
Have a great day,
