It's My Birthday!

Today is my birthday. How old am I? Twenty-nine, but I've been twenty-nine for several years now.

I remember the "good old days" when I would take the day off from work, sleep late, and do nothing all day long. "Nothing" means watching old Carey Grant movies, crocheting, and reading good books. Those days are long gone...for a long time. And I wouldn't trade what I have now for what I had then. Those cute little baby smiles from Daniel and Sarah Beth's silly antics are much better than spending the day alone.

However, it would have been nice to have slept a little later today. Daniel got me up at 3:30 to eat, then he woke up again at 5:30. He went back to sleep, but I never did. I was able to doze a little bit, then Sarah Beth woke up at 6:30. She usually sleeps until 7:30, so we may have a difficult morning. I finally got out of bed at 7:00, and I'm tired. I should have gotten up earlier and gotten the day started off better, but I was too lazy. And it's my birthday! Aren't I entitled to something on my birthday? I can't even do relatively "nothing" today because there is still so much packing to do and phone calls to make.

But at least I got a new house for my birthday. Our realtor called back last night with the builder's counter offer which we accepted. We have a house!!
